Liquid Icons – Cellar
Aerosol and silkscreen on canvas
28.6 × 40.5 in / 72.8 × 103 × 3.3 cm
Signed
This one-of-a-kind artwork presents a dense arrangement of iconic wine bottles in a layered, high-contrast pop format. A unique original painting from Campbell La Pun’s ongoing exploration of iconic bottles through stencil and pop form. Silkscreen and aerosol paint are combined on canvas, allowing repetition, variation and texture to coexist within a single composition. The piece ships with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Liquid Icons – Cellar expands the visual language of the series into a full field composition. Bottles associated with significant moments, collectors and shared experiences are repeated, overlapped and reinterpreted through shifting colour treatments. Each form remains recognisable, yet detached from its original function, becoming part of a larger visual system built on memory, rhythm and accumulation. The interplay between silkscreen precision and aerosol variation creates subtle inconsistencies across the surface, reinforcing the idea of multiple moments layered over time rather than a single fixed image.
The work moves beyond individual iconography and instead focuses on the collective presence of these bottles. It reflects the way they exist in real life not as isolated objects, but as part of gatherings, cellars and conversations. The composition becomes less about ownership and more about shared experience, where repetition builds meaning rather than diminishing it.
Includes worldwide shipping.
