Aerosol on Wood Panel
28.6 × 40.5 in / 72.8 × 103 cm
Signed
This one-of-a-kind artwork presents the Montrachet bottle in a high-contrast pop format. A unique original painting from Campbell La Pun’s ongoing exploration of iconic bottles through stencil and pop form. Hand-cut stencils and aerosol paint are layered onto a wood panel and sealed with a gloss varnish. The piece ships with a signed certificate of authenticity.
In Montrachet Prism – Signal, the composition is driven by contrast and visual interruption. The bottle is held in a stable, centred position, while the colour system shifts dramatically across its surface. A deep blue core is framed by green edges, creating a contained, almost illuminated interior. This is interrupted by a saturated pink label that acts as a visual signal point, immediately pulling the eye to the centre of the composition.
The upper capsule introduces a secondary colour tension, where orange and violet tones sit in contrast to the cooler body below. The small radial motif remains present, suggesting a contained energy within the bottle, while the black background isolates the form entirely. The work focuses on how a single colour intervention can redefine hierarchy, shifting the label from supporting detail to dominant structure within the image.
Includes worldwide shipping.
